A little about who I am…
My name is Monica, and yes, I’m a recovering corporate workaholic. I’m also a seasoned business executive, and serial entrepreneur.
I was born in the “Sweetheart City” of Colorado but grew up in rural Montana. Growing up, I spent my time playing basketball and practicing debate, which taught to work hard and how to be competitive. It also taught me the importance of good leadership and building a strong team.
Today I live in Portland with my amazing husband and our two rescue dogs.
I wear many hats: wife, mother, entrepreneur, speaker, business owner, coach and mentor, wine connoisseur, yogi, world-changer, and more.
I love to read about business and personal development. Want to know what I’m reading? Check out my Reading List.
A little about my experience
I fell in love with business at age 12 when I learned I could earn my own money by mowing lawns. Over the years I created other ventures in real estate, online marketing, and consulting.
I spent 20 years as a healthcare executive and have led multi-million dollar national non-profits that helped create healthcare transformation. I’ve presented to national policy makers and helped inform policy decisions.
I’ve also worked with some of the sharpest CEO’s in for-profit healthcare companies. In executive positions, I helped them develop and acquire new companies, design innovative new programs, and grow existing lines of business. I’ve been deep in the trenches of operations, sales & marketing, business development, board development, management, and technology.
This breadth of experience helps me relate to my CEO and Entrepreneurial clients on a deep level, and truly understand their challenges and frustrations so we can develop practical strategies and solutions.
I have a growth mindset and love studying business. I have a master’s degree in management and organizational leadership, a bachelor’s degree in psychology, and also completed an MBA Foundations program and certifications in coaching.
I’ve gone from being a workaholic to only doing work I love. I’m able to be more fully in the moment, earn a great income, and savor all of life’s amazing moments. This is what I want for you.

“Working with Monica provided me with more clarity on who I need to “be” to achieve my business goals. She helped me flesh things out and was a great listener who asked relevant questions. She also provided great tools that helped me get even more from our session. I’d recommend Monica to entrepreneurs who need clarity on their goals, ideal client, marketing strategies, etc. Monica has a ton of knowledge and powerful tools with which to serve. I was impressed with how prepared she was; she had taken time to research my business ahead of our meeting and provided wonderful recommendations..”
